Sneaking out and catching up
Used to be her thing
But the barbed wire is sharper now
Sprint the roads and tame the cars
You’d know her shape in silhouette
But the smallest things weigh her down
Somehow I feel like she’s giving up
But I don’t think that she’s know it herself
She’s making the change to a life in the day
A vulpine creature in the day time and yes I’m sad to say
She Takes great relief when the danger takes flight
and pretty much tries to get some some sleep in the night time now….
Oh, but how majestic she was
Her feet never touched the ground
She never needed me but I needed her
The change is there and we’ve gone right round
I’m not sure if I’m cut out for this
She needs someone of a different shape
I’m a knight with a shield and not a whole lot more
There’s holes letting light through my cape
And it gets me down

And I think it’s starting to show
