REVIEW:
Here he is with another one! It is my pleasure to announce that King Everything is back with a great follow-up to his late summer masterpiece, 'Waiting.' 'Sketches of an Introvert' is a short, sweet, and intimate Album (or EP depending on how technical you want to get.) It is comprised of 12 lo-fi mini jam sessions that feel almost like you are reading someones diary as opposed to listening to music at all. Though Sketches has a very "back to basics feel," featuring Jim Mendola (the driving force behind King Everything)and his collaborators Everton Muniz on drums and Aaron Balko on bass, it is not with out moments of the delightfully bizarre with songs dropping off unexpectedly and others emerging with oddly wonderful sounds, such as 'Introverts are Weird (Myth #7)!' Sketches of an Introvert seems a natural progression from its well orchestrated predecessor and is a frail, delicate, and wonderful trail of smoke coming from an engine that has been working tirelessly to release a steady stream of albums as apart of King Everything's 12x12x12 (12 songs/12 albums/12 months) project. This is an album full of simplicity and sentiment, and should serve as a reminder to introverts and extroverts alike, that they shouldn't be afraid to dream. Listen, enjoy, repeat.
