Can Christmas come a little early just this once
Just a week maybe two just this once
I have something I really need just this once
I've been gone for far too long so you know
But he'll come home on Christmas Day just this once
And so I'll wait so patiently or so I try
But I can't wait to see his face just this once
My girl's been gone for far too long so you know
But she'll come home on Christmas Day just this once
(I'll come home on Christmas Day)
And so I wait so patiently or so I've tried
But I can't wait to see her face so just this once
Can Christmas come a little early just this once
Just a week maybe two just this once
We have something we really need just this once

Follow the Star
03:12
|
|||
I stay up late to tend to the sheep. I rub my eyes to fend off sleep. My dad and uncle, they check on me. We share some bread. We share some cheese. An angel appears. Be not afraid. Go find the baby. Here’s the way. Follow the star. Follow the star. He’s the one, the savior’s come, so follow the star. Hundreds of angels, they leave one behind. We gotta see where its light shines. Follow the star. Follow the star. Round the herd, we’ll spread the word. Let’s follow the star. Lighting up a stable and a young family, behold the baby - we all fall to our knees. Pray for our savior. Let’s shout out loud. The light shines both day and night and attracts quite a crowd. Three wise men come bearing gifts. They saw the light, and they made the trip. Follow the star. Follow the star. It might be nice to hang with Christ. Just follow the star.

Mayan Christmas 2012
02:03
|
|||
I'm sorry that I got you nothing. This Christmas wasn't supposed to come. I decorated, but I did no shopping. The Mayans said we'd all be done. Yeah, the Mayans said that Christmas wouldn't come.
I fall for this every time. The world is ending, but it never does. So yeah, it's Christmas. And yeah, that's fine. The Mayans just made me look dumb. Yeah, the Mayans said that Christmas wouldn't come.
Merry awkward Christmas. Fancy seeing you here. What can one say to break that ice? The Mayans blew it, but there's always next year. Your reindeer sweater looks really nice. The Mayans said we'd be in paradise.

Baboushka
02:18
|

She’s got no one. She feels unblessed. Even the birds have gone. She prays for a guest.
Three wise men show up at her door. Thanks but no thanks, she says. Not in this storm.
I missed my chance. What’ve I done? I’d better run. Try to find the Son.
She never found the baby king. So she gives a gift to every kid she meets.

I wanna make my getaway, and I wanna make Christmas Day smell special again.
But I can't remember what special smelled like.

Wake Up! It's Christmas!
02:52
|
|||
Wake up! Wake up! It's Christmas!
Wake up! Wake up! It's time!
The sun is peeking over the horizon.
The sun is out and I feel fine!
Santa came while we were sleeping
I'm sure he did, but I wasn't peeking
I was really good almost every day
I did what you said, now today's the day!
Wake up! Wake up! It's Christmas!
Wake up! Wake up! It's time!
I bet we got a half a million presents
And half or more of them will all be mine
There's little point in us delaying
Everyone can nap while I'm playing
Come on, let's go and open up our gifts
I swear I'll have them open in a jiff

I can't wait for Christmas.

I don’t want toy cars. No telescope to see the stars. I don’t need a model train. Or remote control airplane. Don’t get me a baseball bat. A game, a gun, none of that. There’s just one thing I don’t got. Just one thing I... really want. I’d like a bike
I don’t need no fancy clothes. Figurines, I don’t need those. A puppy dog can surely wait. Save it for a later date. Oh, please no baby dolls. Don’t spend weeks in shopping malls. I don’t want a million things. Just the one I... really need. I’d like a bike.
Without you, my world is grey.
Oh baby, watch what you say
Seriously, how long would it take?
Cut it out, for goodness’ sake. You know yourself I’m miles away.
I can’t live with you - so far away.
Before you know it’ll be Christmas Eve.
You ask, I’ll ask, I... guess we’ll see.
I’d like a bike for Christmas.
So I could ride to you

Gram and Gramps, they moved away. Pretty sad, but they couldn't stay. They flew south, but said they'd keep in touch. And, they did at first, but it got to be too much. Once a week just couldn't last. Then Christmas came. Then Christmas passed.
I'm mad they sent me nothing, but it's not about that. Christmas, Christ, it's not about that!
On the phone, Gram explained, the Christmas mail can get delayed. New Year's Eve brought an envelope. A gift card or some cash, I hoped. Tore it open and looked inside. Just a card. I nearly cried.
I'm mad they sent me nothing, but it's not about that. Christmas, Christ, it's not about that! I'm mad they sent me nothing!
